How to Make Google Chrome Your Default Browser

Setting Google Chrome to be your default browser means that if another application launches your browser to show you a web page or if you click a link in your email, then your operating system will launch Google Chrome as your default browser as opposed to launching another browser.

To set Google Chrome as your default browser …

1. Click on the configuration icon in the upper right…

2. Then select “Options” from the menu.

3. Under the “Basic” Options category, click the button labeled “Make Google Chrome my default browser”.

4. Now it should say “The default browser is currently Google Chrome”.
